The students have been very busy learning about their topics from many different secondary sources. Now they are ready to start diving deeper into their topics by interviewing experts, surveying the Whitby Community, and answering all the questions that were raised along the way.

Knowledge products
4/29/15
Students have begun to brainstorm how they will share all their research and new found knowledge with the greater Whitby community. Together in class they came up with a list of possible Knowledge Product ideas. Each child then went home and thought carefully about the best way for them to represent their individual topics.

Designing a rubric
4/30/15
With Exhibition Night quickly approaching the students have been tasked with creating rubrics to assess their Exhibition Journey. The teachers gave the students the four categories on which they would be assessed. Then, in small groups, the students brainstormed criteria for each of these categories. We were quite impressed with how thorough and thoughtful they were!
